A tribute to Soldiers

“Balduram ka badan zameen ke niche hai , Balduram ka badan zameen ke niche hai , Toh hame uska rashan milta hai …….”

Well , you must be wondering what type of song is this . Right ? Well it is the Marching song of the 'Assam Regiment' . This is a song which I and my father often sing and dance on .

My father dreamt to be an army man , but due to some circumstances he could not join the army . Still , he is very fond of the army and often tells me about the great army men and the missions  of the army .

Now I have also become fond of the army life and wish I could also get a chance to live the life of a soldier or army officer.  It felt like God listened to my wish as I got a chance to act like a soldier in my school's  annual function .  I became very excited as soon as my teacher told me this  .

I participated in the item - Tribute to Soldiers . It was an honour to dress up in a soldier's  attire . The item depicted the life of a soldier . It was based on the 'URI' and 'PULWAMA' Attacks . It was proud and emotional for us to dance and act the life of a soldier - how strong they are , how tough situations they face and how they make so many sacrifices for our country .  The audience praised our performance and our item even brought tears in their eyes .

It was an amazing journey learning the choreography , practising and performing in front of the huge audience . I and my friends also had a lot of fun backstage .
Me dressed up as a soldier

At last , a hearty Thank You to all the soldiers who are ready to protect us under any circumstances without thinking about themselves and their families .

A true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him , but because he loves what is behind him .

  4. Our enemies would tear us into pieces if there were no soldiers defending our frontiers. We owe all our comforts and peace to their sacrifices. May God protect them against harm !
