Change is an essential part of Life #decadehop
With the end of 2019 and the beginning of brand new 2020 , a new decade has started and I am happy when #decadehop gives me a chance to write a guest post .
In 2010 , I was just 3 years old and I was made to experience school for the very first time. My mumma too got to experience what it was like to be in a preschool for 3 hours
with a crying kid.
My first school was Big Apple School . In that school , my teacher had different animals like parrots , bunnies and pups . We felt happy cuddling with the cute little animals . I soon started enjoying school . Once we were taken on a picnic to fete of another school . It was organised by Holy Child School . We enjoyed the rides , magic shows at the fete and I
liked the school too .
Next year started the search for another school for my admission . I insisted to go to Holy
Child School . My parents went to that school , met the teachers and finally I was admitted to class L.K.G. in 2011 in Holy Child School.
My first teacher was Shaguna ma’am whom I loved a lot . But
she left the school after few years ….
In 2012 I was in UKG and at the end of the session I became the ‘Best Scholar’ of my class . This journey of being the best scholar continued in all the classes 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. Here are some of my trophies that I collected over years :

In 2013 , when I was in class 1 , my class teacher was Ritu
ma’am whom I still admire as my second mother and we still often get to meet each other.
I have been appearing for many competitive since class 1 .
In 2014 , I got a good rank in NSTSE and got a Britanica CD , a medal and a certificate as prize . I find that prize as an amazing inspiration till date .

In 2015 , in 3rd grade , I participated in NAO
(National Astronomy Olympiad) by NASA and won a bronze medal .
In 2016 , when I was in 4th standard , our school
organized a fun fete in which I participated in a drawing competition and a mom-daughter duo ramp walk . I secured 1st rank in both of them .
When I got promoted to class 5 in 2017 , I got a chance to
become the Junior Captain of my house . Playing that responsibility was an amazing experience.
In 2018 , in class 6 , I participated in another competitive
exam by a Chandigarh based institute called Sri Chaitanya and scored rank 13 in the whole
region . For the first time I received a cash prize .Mumma has kept it in locker.
I was also a part of the Derek O ‘Brien Know and Grow Quiz of which I was the runner up .
In 2018 when we shifted to our own house , my school-Holy Child became quite far from our new residence .

Initially I was hesitant to change my school as I didn’t
want to leave my classmates and my second mother Ritu ma’am .
But my parents guided me that change is an essential part of
life and it always brings growth along .
So, I made up my mind and we finalized a new school for me
in 2019 .
It didn’t take me very long to make a bunch of good friends
. And now , my best friend is Mysha whom I love to spend with . She belongs to
a Muslim family, I invite her on Navratri Pooja and she invites me to her house
on the festival of Eid.
All my new teachers
are very friendly and within a few weeks , I fell in love with my school .
All the teachers appreciate my hard work and Ajay Sir could
notice my swimming capability also . I represented my school in a District
level swimming competition too.
Not much to say about 2020 right now .
I have taken up the 2020 reading challenge and I am done with my first book . You know in this month of January only , I have become an official teenager .
These 10 years have been amazing and I look forward to even
better decades in future .

The world needs young, strong writers like you! When I was your age, my mom's bestie was my mentor and she would critique everything I wrote with an unbiased eye. I do the same today for young writers like yourself. Keep writing and kudos on all your achievements.

DeleteThe first thing that I want to mention about this post is, it's very neatly written in chronological order. That shows how clear your thoughts are when you write. The second and most important thing is it's grammatically PERFECT. Even big authors need editors to polish their work....but yours is free of errors. Super! Congratulations! Keep writing! What a sweet post. Enjoy your teenage years- they are precious and won’t return! It was a delightful post to read because it showed how the smallest of accomplishments are often the biggest achievements, and it is our job to keep things in the correct perspective.
