The trans Mommy-Gauri Sawant #BlogchatterA2Z

"God could not be everywhere , that is why he made mothers"
Mothers really deserve our salutes . Don't they ?

This post is a tribute to a mother - 'The trans Mommy' - Gauri Sawant.

Sawant was born and raised as Ganesh in Pune. Her school's principal noticed some girly activities in Sawant and went to inform her father who was a Police officer about it.

According to him he never used to play with boys and would love to play Ghar-Ghar with girls.

When Sawant was just 5 years old, her mother died. She was brought up by her grandmother.

She left her house at the age of 18 as she did not want her father to be dissapointed because of her.

"I was introduced to a trust where I got a job. By the grace of god I never had to beg." says Gauri.

She was a petitioner in the NALSA case in which the Supreme Court of India recognized transgender as the third gender .

She was made the Goodwill ambassodor of Election Commission of Maharashtra and she is the director of Sakshi Char Chowghi that helps transgender people .

She adopted a young girl named Gayatri in 2008 who gave Sawant the lovely experience of being a mother.❤️

Motherhood is not by gender , It's by feeling
