Oprah Winfrey is a girl who was born in a very poor family . It is said that their financial conditions were so poor that Oprah's grandmother used to make her wear a dress made from Potato sacks .
Her first name was spelled as 'Orpah' instead of 'Oprah' in her birth certificate but people always used to pronounce it as 'Oprah'.
Her grandmother taught her how to read at the age of three and often used to take her to the local church where Winfrey would often recite Bible verses there and hence she was nicknamed 'The Preacher'.
Later , she got a full scholarship of a University as she won an oratory competition . In the university , she studied Communication.
When she was in college , she did a part-time news in a local radio station .
She then told news on TV channels and also hosted some shows .
She later went to Chicago to host a low rated WLS-TV's half hour morning talk show .
Within months , the show went from the lowest rated to the highest rated show in Chicago and was later renamed 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'.
She then started interviewing celebs including Michael Jackson and also starred in movies. And till now , she is the co-author of five books .
She became really famous and then became a public influencer .
She is a really rich lady today and her net worth is $2.7 billion .

DeleteOprah Winfrey had a tough childhood but she never gave up. She cares herself very confidently. I must say she is a perfect example of how one can reach up to the stars with a strong will.
