If you are a fan of Harry Potter series, you might know about its author - J.K.Rowling.



In this post, I will be telling you about J.K.Rowling and her life.

Rowling was born in Yate, England on 31 July 1965. Initially , her name was Joanne Rowling.During her childhood , she moved to Winterbourne and Church Cottage village when she was aged 4 and 9 respectively.

She loved to write fantasy stories when she was a kiddo and narrate them to her sister - Diannne.

When Rowling was a teenager , her aunt gave her a copy of 'Hons and Rebels' (Jessica Mitford's autobiography). Rowling became Mitford's fan and read all of her books.

Around the same time , her mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and had a bad relationship with Rowling's father. Multiple Sclerosis is a disease in which the insulating covers of the nerve cells of the brain and the spinal cord are damaged.

She completed her education and worked as a researcher in London. Later , she moved to Manchester.

In 1990 , Rowling was travelling in a four hour delayed train from Manchester to London . That was when the idea of a boy attending a school of Wizardry struck her mind.

In December 1990, her mother Anne Rowling died after suffering from 10 years of Multiple Sclerosis.

Rowling moved to Porto and got married in 1992. Her first child Jessica was born in July 1993 . And sadly the couple separated in November 1993. At that time she was very poor.

In 1995 , she finished writing her stoy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone . When it was published by Scholastic Inc. , the book recieved a lot of love and many awards .

She continues writing even today and is a great mother of 3.
