Bhangarh Fort-The most haunted fort of Asia #BlogchatterA2Z

POV: You with your 2 friends have dared to enter the most haunted place in your country after sunset despite of repeatedly given warnings . You are laughing around as you have not witnessed anything paranormal . Suddenly, you fall into a well . However you are rescued immediately by your friends . Your pals are driving you to the hospital , on a clear and safe road , you get into an accident and all 3 of you die on the spot .

Coincidence ? I think not . This is actually a true story of some friends who decided to stay the night in Asia's most haunted place , The Bhangarh Fort.

It is not just one incident which has run shivers down people's spines, there are many. I think we should have a look at some of those spooky incidents.

Once , there people who were about to exit the Bhangarh Fort and heard screams when they started running and a wall fell in front of them out of nowhere.

Another incident is when a father and daughter were walking near the fort and a man approached them . He was very keen to tell them the story of the fort . The father was not comfortable and started walking faster to get rid of him . Awhile later , the father daughter looked back and the man had disappeared when some other people informed them that no one was following them the entire time .

There was also a time when another group of friends bribed the keeper to let them stay in the fort for the night. As they were about to leave , they saw a man sitting near a window with iron grills. They thought it could be someone else who was exploring the fort . The man looked completely zoned out when the friends realized that the room he was sitting in had no doors ! The man smirked at them and they ran away.

True or not , these stories of the Bhangarh Fort can be mind twisting and most of all scary !

Bhangarh Fort is a 16th century fort in Rajasthan , India and it was built by Bhagwant Das for his younger son, Madho Singh . It is the only 'legally haunted place' in India which is regarded as the most haunted place in Asia and India and the 4th haunted place of the world !

Bhangarh Fort during the day

On the contrary side of the spooky stories , Bhangarh Fort can be very beautiful during the day . In the destroyed city , one can find temples , havelis and palaces ! It actually becomes nerve-wracking only after 6pm ! But otherwise , the fear of something paranormal exists all the time....

Talking a little about history , according to a legend, a sadhu named Baba Balak Nath lived within the fort area, and he said that any house built in the precinct of the fort should not be taller than his own, and if the shadow of any such house fell on his, it would result in destruction of the fort town which actually proved to be true .

And for a matter of fact , any houses near the fort now are roofless. According to the local people , when roofs are built , they fall into pieces . Supposedly , it is because of the same curse of Baba Balak Nath which also said that the fort city , if destructed once , would never be rebuilt as no structures would survive.

As per another legend , Princess Ratnavati lived in the fort and her beauty was indescribable . A man named Singhia wanted to marry her and he decided to use his magical powers to make the princess do so . He enchanted the oil of the princess with black magic . Upon touch , Singhia expected the princess to surrender . But she witnessed the trick , poured the oil on the ground which turned into a rock and crushed Singhia to death after it rolled on him . Before dying , Singhia cursed Bhangarh to death .

Although science has rubbished the happenings of the Bhangarh Fort , local folks still believe in these tales and continue to report screams and laughs and the sound of breaking of bangles from the fort. Shadows and lights are also seen in the fort with experiences of people feeling like they are being followed by someone or being slapped on entering the fort .

All this can't be explained but only felt . So would you like to visit the fort ??
